Old Adobe, Old Tucson

An old adobe is lit up by the fading sun in Old Tucson with the Tucson Mountains in the background. Originally built from the ground up in 1939 for Columbia Pictures' Arizona starring William Holden and Jean Arthur, it came to life with more than 50 buildings in 40 days. Since then it has been the site of more than 300 film and television projects starring such film legends as John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart and Clint Eastwood becoming known as America's "Hollywood in the Desert".
