Fat Man at Trinity Site

White Sands Missile Range, NM 2 April, 2011, Trinity Site National Historic Landmark.  During the last free public tour a visitor reads about the empty replica casing of "Fat Man", the atomic bomb dropped on Nagasaki that helped end WWII. The Trinity Site Monument marking ground zero where the first atomic bomb, constructed under the Manhatten Project and tested on July 16, 1945, at 5:29:45 a.m. Mountain War Time is in the background.  The second atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan on August 6, the third on Nagasaki, Japan on August 9 and on August 14, 1945 Japan surrendered ending World War II..  Trinity Site National Historic Landmark is located in the White Sands Missile Range, southwest of Socorro, New Mexico.
